Monumental upgrade to iLike Sidebar - for iTunes, WindowsMedia, and Mac
We can't say enough how excited we are about the latest iLike Sidebar - for iTunes, for WindowsMedia Player, Windows XP or Vista, Mac OS/X Tiger or Leopard - we have released all of these simultaneously: download it here!
Note: most existing users will be auto-updated to the newest version, but not immediately. If you're reading this blog, upgrade now! :)
What's new: live updates from your favorite artists
As you listen to music in iTunes or Windows Media Player, you see live updates from the artist you're currently listening to - bulletins, concert alerts, album releases, new music, and new videos.
See the screenshot to see what the iLike Sidebar displays while listening to different artists (all of whom are posting content using the iLike Universal Artist Dashboard):
Artists: starting today, every time you upload a song, enter concert information, or post a multimedia iCast bulletin, the iLike "post-once, publish everywhere" system will automatically display this information in the iLike Sidebar for iTunes and Windows Media.

I am not seeing the "those who are listening" list? Why has that been removed?

Man, I'm kind of bummed about this new sidebar. The "people listening now" links are gone!! That's how I find new friends. I really don't care for the compatibility scores, because I love music and want to meet people with different, as well as similar, interests as mine. I wish this would come back to the side bar. Please.

why iLike isn't compatible with WinAmp? I don't like WinMedPlayer, I'll never use iTunes, but I always have used winamp [and tons of user have did it too]... so why did u forget about winamp? does iLike hate winamp?

I am a member of hi5 and followed a link here. Well I created an account and when I went to download the sidebar. Well let's just say I am a UNIX user (Fedora, CentOS, Ubuntu) and unfortunately now, I must unsubscribe from ilike, because there's no support for UNIX.
Thanks

Hey iLike,
Cute how you delete every post that mentions last.fm.
People are asking for Winamp support, Linux support, and charts, all of which you don't have and last.fm does. If people ask for services that you don't provide, what's wrong with pointing them in the right direction?

Yeah, what happened? The updated link still doesn't work btw.
And I'm not trying to slam you, I know how hard it is to force releases.

Hi,
Would like to have linux support. I have decided to use Linux over Windows (no compromise for the sake of ilike).
Please let know whether you have any plans for a linux plugin.
Thanking you
Warm Regards
Sriram

OK, I'm really disappointed. There is still no iLike for Winamp. I think iLike hates Winamp:) I really wanna use iLike but u guys have to make a plugin for Winamp. Winamp is the most used media player and u keep ignoring Winamp. U r Anti-Winamp lol well. I dont think this update is monumental till they will make a sidebar for Winamp(I dont think they will do tho) I'll keep my hopes high:) I hope u can hear what I say.
