Linking iLike.com/Facebook accounts, and new features for artists
Merge your iLike and Facebook accounts
We've been collecting requests for this forever, and we're finally there (or at least 95% there).
If you have an account on iLike.com and on the iLike application in Facebook, you can finally link your two accounts and we will properly sync the data between the two.
What this will do:
- Merge (and sync) your Songs iLike on Facebook and on iLike
- Merge (and sync) your iLike Challenge score on Facebook and on iLike
- Display your iTunes playlists on your Facebook music page (if you use the iLike Sidebar for iTunes).
- Coming soon: merge (and sync) your Artists iLike on Facebook and on iLike
So if you haven't already, link your iLike.com account to your Facebook.com account !! :)
In other news, we have made a ton of other improvements to iLike.com and on Facebook - for music lovers and for musicians:
Improved Charts
We now have lots of new music charts. On iLike.com we added the "songs most added in iTunes and Windows Media Player. On Facebook we have the same charts as iLike.com, but we also show charts of songs-most-added to profiles, and songs-most-dedicated.
See the new chart on iLike.com
See the 8 new iLike charts on Facebook
Updates from your favorite artists - in your Facebook newsfeed
The picture says it all - you will get alerted in your Facebook newsfeed when your favorite artists announce concerts, post videos, add free MP3s, etc
Various features for musicians on the iLike Artist Services Platform
- Artists who sign up to use the iLike Artist Services Platform now have access to stats for how many times there songs are added to profiles or dedicated to friends on Facebook.
- We've added the ability to upload 30-second clips for songs where you feel unsure about uploading the full song stream
- You can now send iCasts on the road - with Mobile iCast you can post video/audio/photos to your artist page with no setup required!
- iCast messages can now include HTML formatting including links
- When you post stuff to your artist page your fans are alerted in their Artist Activity and Facebook newsfeed
These changes are all nice, especially the Total Fans number on each artist page, but apparently th total fans number came at the expense of all other numbers on the website. Blue bars are worthless without numbers to quantify them. I hate to ask you to be more like last.fm, but honestly they have the upper hand on this one.

If you miss Freddy as much as I do, you may be surprised at the gentleman singing his songs. I defy you to tell the difference. He looks and sounds like a younger Freddy. He possesses no ego and is just a regular, normal guy. It’s the next best thing. He goes by the name of Johnny Pal and can be found on youtube at:

(Before the Next Teardrop Falls)

Enjoy!!! Susan

There should also be functionality to find friends on facebook and add them to your friends on ilike. It seems redundant to have to find friends in both places. Just a thought!

Greetings - pardon if I'm posting something way off base - I just found your site today and want to use it, but as a classical music fan I can't satisfy my needs if I'm not able to search by Genre or record label. Additionally, in the world of classical, there are many many genres. If you want help arranging subcats let me know. Nothing says nobody is aware of classical fans needs more than not breaking out all the subcats. Thank you

Hi, I linked my ilike and facebook accounts and it worked fine. It took a while for the system to let me do it though. Would love to have auto-sync with bebo though. Currently I've got a blank bebo profile because I signed up ages ago.
I'm writing this next bit here because I can't seem to find anywhere on the faq page where I can email for help or submit feedback.
One problem I do have is with the distinction between my own profile and the artist profile. Whenever I click "home" I get taken to the artist dashboard. Then there seems to be no links anywhere that will take me back to my OWN dashboard and info. Need links back!!
Annoyingly enough, to add a picture of myself I'm supposed to go to my "home" page.. which has been taken over by my artist home page. Why not put a photo upload in the "edit settings" section?
So, I'd love it if iLike could understand that primarily I am me, and secondarily I am the manager of my artist. Thanks!
