New iLike Sidebar for iTunes !!
We're excite to release our latest iLike Sidebar for iTunes on Mac and Windows!!
The new iLike Sidebar represents a lot of work we've added in the last few months:
1) We now offer "instant playlists", with a much simpler interface! :-)
2) More recommended music - 6 mainstream songs, 6 free MP3s from GarageBand
3) "Other listeners" view - every time you play a song, see faces of others who listen to the same artist
4) Your iTunes playlists are automatically synced on a daily basis so changes to playlists appear on your profile on iLike.com
There are also a whole bunch of bug-fixes in this latest Sidebar release. We haven't auto-updated our userbase to it (yet), so you need to download it yourself at http://iLike.com/download. Check it out and send us feedback! :)
just wanted to drop a line to say the new sidebar is outstanding. it looks great, there are a couple of new features, and the existing features look better and seem faster. great job. I love it!!
p.s. when do we get artist bio info. on iLike and in the sidebar? :)

I updated my iTuens to the new version 7.2 (windows), and the new iLike Plugin.
But i can't login in to my profile in the iLike Plugin. Wenn i click on "login in", it open a link to iLike Homepage.

It is on a PC (Windows Vista), Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.3

Love the cleaned up interface, especially the instant playlist function (I used to use mobster for this). It's unfortunate that the rating had to go. It was nice to use to mark my songs that were playing while I did other things within my library. No sweat, tho' - I have a few other iTunes utils that might be able to restore this.
One thing that might be nice in the future would be the ability to resize the iLike sidebar. It's the perfect size on my 24" monitor, but for my 13" laptop, it'd be nice to trim it by a little bit.

ilike (ha that was clever) all the new features for the mac version, but i think the old version was a bit prettier. i hate to say this, but it looks a little too PC-ish. im used to all my apps being very streamlined and neat looking. but of course i still love ilike and will continue to use it. thank you for such a great product.

Hey iLike developers, if you ever considered publishing your product in different languages, or enabling a function for people to view the site in a different language, please contact me as I can help with the translation of the Afrikaans version thereof. I am a fluent speaker in it and I have just downloaded the Afrikaans version of Firefox, and I suddenly feel that everything should actually be available in one's home language.
Anyways, thanks for everything, I love the site and the functions and things. Great job(s)!

ok, so i downloaded the new version of the sidebar yesterday and it was working fine. but when i opended itunes today, it seemed to be working fine but as soon as i clicked anywhere on the itunes window, it freezes up and i get the spining beachball. i re-installed it, but that didnt help at all. i ended up just un-installing the whole app and that solved the problem. i love ilike but i would love it even more if it acculy worked on my computer.
oh and by the way, im a mac.

The new sidebar looks good and the new features are cool but the removal of the quick and easy ratings might be a deal breaker for me, as this was the most useful feature for myself. I'll give the new sidebar a go though and see how it goes.

New sidebar is cool, unfortunately the friends and profile tabs don't work (same problem as Brad). Is a fix on the way?

Sidebar is neat, but I just keep getting boring, repetative results from the instant playlist feature. And I'm (trying to) play my music, not wanting a date with other listeners! Sorry guys, but its not very good at dealing with MY music, so am uninstalling this and moving full time to using thefilter - ab.fab playlists and no dating service!! My husband is talking to me again :)

What's the latest Mac version?

Works flawlessly and the first time I used the play list feast it brought a huge smile to my face that only "magic" technology can do. Couldn't agree more with the choices and old artist it dug up.
That said, I'd like some more functionality in the sidebar, like the ability to "ilike" a song/artist, so I dont have to go to the website then go back through my recently played songs.

Hey, does this sidebar work with iTunes 7.3.1? It's not showing up AT ALL, but surprisingly...my tracks are playing when I use WMP. I'd love to use the sidebar because of how cool it looks, but I feel like I might end up switching up to WMP just so I can use iLike.

It looks great and works fine. Theres only a problem: too much take on memory! Couldn't you make it lighter?!
Another question: There is any advance on making this work for Winamp player?

SUGGESTION: When I download and listen a music recomended from iLike and I don't liked the music, there should be a button to clik [I don't Liked]. By this Way ILike can filter better my music preferences.
