Hipped to the street value of social networking, folk and rock music legacy Martha Wainwright is teaming with iLike to stream her newest effort I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too on June 7 for three days before it hits the rest of the real and virtual worlds. She'll also be fielding and answering questions from fans and other interested parties.
Taking a look at her steamy album and publicity photos, those parties probably have lately grown in size.
But there's as much to talk about as there is to look at. Wainwright's new disc features appearances from luminaries from her father's time, including The Who's Pete Townshend, Steely Dan's Donald Fagen and the Band's Garth Hudson, as well as her brother Rufus and mother Kate McGarrigle.
Meanwhile, her appearance on iLike adds another score for the social networking upstart, who streamed a listening party for R.E.M.'s abrasive new album earlier this year.
